The Little House in Ovcha Kupel is a cozy two-storey house with a large yard and lots of greenery, where six babies or small children live and there are two places for crisis accommodation or substitute care in an environment close to the family. We pay attention and individual care to babies and young children at risk in the transition from a family crisis to building a safe and sustainable family environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Our second Little House opened its doors on October 1, 2013. By the end of February 2021, 57 children have been accommodated. Of these, 11 have been returned to their birth families, 10 have been placed in foster families, 5 have gone to other institution of care, 26 have been adopted, and 5 children still live in the Little House.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

With the support of donors, with a lot of love and dedication, together we make a common dream come true: that every child at the beginning of his life has a happy chance to live in a family environment, to be surrounded by warmth, comfort and love, to feel wanted, valued and significant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

\n Annual Budget<\/h2>
\n

The need for a second center to accommodate children at risk is great, therefore in October 2013 the second Little House opens its doors. The center receives state funding, which covers up to 55% of the annual budget. For the remaining funds, we rely on donations from people who believed in our cause. The ultimate goal of the two houses is, through active work and support in the case of each child, to be permanently placed in a family environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

These are the big ones who take care of the little ones in the house.<\/p>

The team of the Little House consists of 7 people \u2013 social workers, psychologists, teachers, educators. They work on a special schedule, covering 24-hour care for children and at the same time gives them a sense of security, the opportunity to attach to and trust.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
